What is Emmi pet?
The Emmi Pet dog toothbrush is a cutting-edge dental care tool designed to provide effective oral hygiene for dogs without causing stress or discomfort. Unlike traditional toothbrushes, it uses innovative ultrasonic technology to clean teeth and gums. The brush head produces gentle ultrasonic waves that create millions of microbubbles when combined with a special toothpaste. These bubbles penetrate deep into the gum line and between teeth, effectively removing plaque, tartar, and bacteria without the need for abrasive brushing. This non-invasive method ensures a thorough clean while being gentle enough for dogs who may be sensitive to traditional brushing techniques.
Keeping your dogs teeth and gums healthy with Emmi pet can help to avoid costly veterinary treatment, which often requires anaesthesia. This method not only makes dental care more comfortable for your dog, but also allows for more frequent maintenance, ensuring better long-term oral health.
Step one - Book a trial session.
Trial sessions are £25, and will last approximately 15 - 20 minutes. During this time your dogs oral health will be assessed to make sure they are suitable for Emmi pet.
Your dog will then be introduced to the toothbrush and toothpaste so we can find out how well they will tolerate the process.
Your dog will also have before photos taken so we can really track their progress during the teeth cleaning process.
Step two - Book your sessions
We will then book your dog in for some regular sessions. The number of sessions your dog will need will depend on your dogs oral health. This will usually be between 1 to 5 sessions, done once or twice a week.
Step three - Regular maintenance sessions
Once your dogs teeth are lovely and clean, we will then move to less frequent maintenance sessions, these can usually be added on to your dogs usual grooming, 6-8 weeks apart. These sessions will keep your dogs mouth healthy and this breath smelling fresh.
Puppy Grooms
The puppy package is recommended for all puppies. It is a series of 4 sessions, desensitising your puppy to the grooming process slowly, patiently and professionally.
Groom 1 - meet & treat.
You and your pup can meet me and have a look around my salon. Your pup can have a sniff around and get to know his way around his new groomers. He will also get lots of treats and play time, and have a gentle brush out on the grooming table. This will also give you a chance to ask me any questions might have.
Groom 2 - all of the above plus a bath in puppy shampoo and conditioner, and a gentle brush and blow dry.
Groom 3 - all of the above including a tidy up of your pups face, bum & paws using the scissors and clippers.
Groom 4 - All of the above including a full body clip or scissor trim. Your pup has now been introduced to all of the grooming equipment and is ready for regular full grooms.

What if my dog is nervous about going to the groomers?
I understand that some dogs may feel nervous or anxious about going to the groomers. I take great care to create a calm and soothing environment to help your dog feel at ease. By using gentle handling techniques, providing plenty of positive reinforcement, and of course treats and toys, I ensure that each dog receives the patience and understanding they need. My priority is to build trust and make the grooming experience as stress free as possible. If your dog is nervous, each stage of the groom will be taken slowly, at a pace that your dog is comfortable with.
