Terms and Conditions

Payment and pricing
Once dogs have been left with me at the salon, you are agreeing to pay in full on collection of your dog. Please note pricing is dependent on the following factors
• Coat condition; the coat is free from any knots, tangles, fleas or matting.
• Temperament of the dog: nervous or aggressive dogs take extra time to groom.
• The style of groom that is wished to be achieved; more complicated styles require extra time and therefore are more expensive.
Due to the price being dependent on so many factors, this will try to be explained at drop off and an estimate given.

Cancellations and no shows
If you need to cancel or re arrange your appointment, 48 hours notice is required.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the groom price.
If you fail to turn up to your appointment without notice, you will be charged the full amount of the groom price.
These charges must be paid before a new booking can be made.
If you are more than 15 minutes late to collect your dog, this may have a knock on effect for my other customers that day, therefore you may be charged a late collection fee

Time keeping
As I work on a 121 basis, your dog will be given 100% of my attention throughout the appointment. This system can only work if clients drop off and pick up at the times specified. Due to not using crates or
cages, I am unable to separate your dog from others coming for their appointment which can cause great difficulty if an overlap occurs.
You do not need to arrive early. If you do arrive more than 5 minutes early to your appointment I may ask you to come back at your booked time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, I will not be able to complete the groom in the allocated time, and will re-arrange for a future date. This will be classed as a "No show" and you will be required to pay the full amount of the groom price.
When dropping off I will give you an estimate as to how long the groom will take and a pick up time. I will also phone/message you 20 minutes prior to completion to allow you enough time to return to the salon. Please ensure you are available.

Dogs that are matted
Removing mats can be very painful and distressing for your
dog. I will always advise clipping to remove the matted and damaged coat
Since mats rest tightly on the skin, they can often cause or reveal inflammation, existing injuries, restricted movement,
and blood circulation issues.
Once removed, your dog may itch, lick, or feel irritated until the skin and blood flow return to their normal position.
If your dog needs to be clipped short due to excessive matting, I will be sure to contact you first, if not already discussed in the pre-consultation.
Matted dogs will incur an additional charge of £10-£20 for
de-matting and/or clipping off the coat. The procedure can take significantly more time and labour, as well as more
product and equipment wear and tear than a routine groom.

Aggressive or Difficult Dogs
Any dogs that show signs of aggression may need to be muzzled
If I feel the dog is too aggressive, nervous or difficult to groom, I may refuse to continue the groom and send them home.
I will always ensure I do the best thing for the dog and if the groom is too stressful for them, I will stop.
I may also refuse to groom them again in the future.

Toilet Etiquette
Please ensure that your pup has been to the loo prior to entering my garden. Please remember as well as my place of work, this is also my home.
I work extremely hard to keep the salon as clean and hygienic as possible. I understand that your pups may have the odd accident or excitable wee!
Don't worry - It's to be expected.
However, I kindly ask that you respect the salon and my home, and that you keep them on a short lead and not allow them to go to the toilet on my lawn or in my salon.

Pregnant or in Season
If your dog is in season, please make me aware when booking the appointment. Being in season can often cause mood/temperament
changes
Male dogs can detect a female in heat often causing their behaviour to be disruptive whilst grooming
I must also ensure they are always kept separated.
I will not groom dogs that are pregnant.

Photos
Photos of your dog may be taken and shared on my Facebook and Instagram. If you do not want your dogs photo shared, please let me know when you drop your dog off. I try my best to take photos of every dog, however this isn't always guaranteed as I don't always have time. If you would like a photo of your dog, please let me know and I will do my best to take
one.

Fleas
If fleas are found, your dog will be bathed in flea
shampoo which will sit for 10-15 minutes and then
rinsed. This will help kill most of the fleas and also
sooth the skin.
Once the dog is out of the bath the owner will be
informed of a time to collect. The client will be brushed
and towel dried and then sent home. The rest of the
groom will be completed once the client is treated
at home and free from fleas. No earlier than 5 days following a home treatment. Full payment on collection following the flea bath will be required along with the flea fee.
For example:
£40 Full groom + £15 Flea fee
= £55 to be paid

Fleas continued...
The flea charge is £15 to cover the cost of the flea
shampoo and the defence room spray.
Because the client with fleas will most likely be
picked up within one hour of their appointment
time, I will be able to use the rest of that
appointment slot to flea bomb the salon and deep
clean. Using a vet approved Virbac Indorex spray or
similar the salon only needs to be vacated for 90
minutes.
Therefor the rest of the clients booked in that day
will not be affected and there will be no need to
reschedule other customers appointments.
All clients that come to the salon need to be on a
regular flea and worm preventative.
